SEWING PEDALS: ERGONOMIC PEDALS

With the "ERGONOMIC" pedal system, KESSLER offers unique advantages for stand-up operation. Thanks to the clever distribution of speed, foot lift and thread trimming across two pressure sensors, the user can stand with equal load on both legs. The great benefit of this even distribution of weight across two legs is effective prevention of postural damage and fatigue symptoms.

Specification of sewing speed as well as activation of the foot lift or thread trimming is effected only by slight weight shifting on the sensor elements. This efficiently prevents faulty posture and any resulting health damage.

METHOD OF FUNCTIONING

The sensitivity of the sensor elements can be easily adjusted by all users via potentiometers. The required reliability is guaranteed by a safety lock. During sewing, the functions "FL" and "FA" cannot be controlled. For control, the speed setting needs to be set to "0". Malfunctions during sewing due to "FL" / "FA" are thus ruled out.
The sensor signals are evaluated via an electronic interface. This can be inserted directly into the socket for the external actuator of the motor control, without further modification. An actuator is thus completely dispensed with. The pedal system is available for drives by the following manufacturers: Dürkopp Adler, Efka and Quick.
